Country Road

What a gift I have received from 1967 after googling my name today, like I once in a while do to see if my images are being pirated and not only did I find the pirated image (more on that on another blog), but also this image of Country Road, a painting I made in 1967 or 68, now being sold at an auction house. Today I've been feeling nostalgic of my life as a young artist in New York and years later in Washington, DC, specially the fall and winter seasons with bare trees and golden leaves or frozen twigs and then this painting appears bringing memories of those years. I think paintings have a way of returning to us in one way or another, even digitally, like this one.
